You're an idiot. What do you think we've just been discussing?

Well this is what happens with you have sticky's for everything. A ton of stuff will get lost in the shuffle for people who don't want to read every single post in the thread.

Don't blame the thread for your incompetence.

Or it keeps the main message board free from all those threads that only offer a small piece of news.

Also: Titling it The Dark Knight Rises makes it much easier to title the eventual porn parody.

I think "The Batman" would be perfect. Simple and straight to the point. It's a summation of Bruce's journey to becoming The Batman we all know and love. Not good, not terrible. Could be worse.

As for the Riddler... I'm not disappointed that he's not in it, but I am surprised. Here's hoping Nolan has some tricks up his sleeve with this one.

I think The Dark Knight Rises is a fine title. Though, I think I'd prefer Rise of the Dark Knight.

Someone miswrote the title Dark Knight Rising somewhere else, and I kind of liked that.

Also pretty boss.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of subtitles in any movie. Why can't they simply just be numbered?

According to Tom Cruise"

Asked about the title, Tom Cruise says "one of the things I always wanted for the franchise was for it not to have a number afterwards. I've never done sequels to films and I never thought of these films as sequels

How about just Mission Impossible IV?

And that's supposed to be a better title? I know what I just said about subtitles but Ghost Protocol is not a shitty title.

No, it really is. It sounds like two separate movies. It's like Mission Impossible, with a Tom Clancy novel title at the end of it. It's ridiculous, especially when the first 3 had no subtitles.

You always sound so posh.

Criticizing titles is ridiculous, it has no bearing on whether not the film is good. They could rename Citizen Kane to Gumdrop Belly Drum Gay Bonanza and it would still be one of the greatest movies of all time.

I criticize EVERYTHING. Title of a movie, the directing, the plot, the acting...they are all part of the movie, and it should all be judged. Will it have an effect on the movie? No, but that still doesn't excuse a ty movie title.

If you ask me it does. At least in the case of a sequel, which is gonna draw people regardless. From a marketing standpoint, I guess I can see the gripe with a bad title, but not with a sequel. Anyone who liked The Dark Knight will see the new movie even if it's called Batman s Up Gotham and Goes To The Carnival Afterward.
