“We just signed a new record deal with BMG! Looking forward to sharing new music with you soon. New APC-2017!”

This will not happen.  I've heard this for years and years. I will only believe it when its in my hands. Maynard has really been pissing me off lately and I  love

a perfect circle those albums changed my life

I understand skepticism but I highly doubt they would've signed a new label deal if they weren't planning to deliver on an album. I also doubt the label would've signed them if there wasn't a promise of new music.

I like APC better than too overall. I won't deny that Tool though is one of the most epic bands to exist in my lifetime in their own way though. Looking forward to finally hearing something new from APC. I was recently starting my Junior year of college when "Emotive" came out. Now, I've been out of college almost ten years in a month. Jeebus...

Also, tomorrow is April Fool's and I guess since it's on a weekend everybody did them early this year.

I feel like it would be bad business for a record label to punk their customers...

I should also point out that people replying to that Tweet are confused on if he's referring to the APC thing, Tool releasing a new album, or the rumors that Tool might be releasing their discography on Spotify and the like. I assume it's the latter cause I don't see how a press release from a record label with a band member quote could possibly be construed as a "clickbait headline".

Billy Howerdel twitter suggesting we might get some sort of new preview or song tonight.

Edit: 5 days before their fall tour starts makes me strongly believe this will be a new single.
