Wait I'm confused...

1. Why didn't they make the episode streamable where it was supposed to be legally?
2. You got a piracy notice right after downloading it?
3. What website did you get the episode on?
4. Did you remove the download right after it completed or did you leave it on there for others to download from you?

  1. Shrug
  2. A day or two
  3. Zooqle
  4. I probably seeded it for a couple of minutes by mistake.

It's only not viewable on the night the episode premieres, and you can still view it there if you log in with your cable provider.

I actually wasn't able to watch it the night it came out because I get home from work so late, so I just watched it on Adult Swim's Youtube channel the next morning.

Basically if Andrew had waited one more day he could have watched it legally... but then again, I understand not wanting to wait for Rick And Morty.

@Andrew didn't you know of a website where you used to pay $5 or so for a good PPV stream? Can you hook me up with the name of it?

I did a long time ago but I haven't used it since the Network came about so I can't say I remember it.

I guess this is becoming an annual thing as this is the third year in a row I'm posting about a hurricane hitting my area. People have been going nuts preparing for Irma and stores were out of water, bread, chips, etc for the last week. Lines at gas stations have been at times 2-3 hour waits and most don't have gas anymore. I have shutters up on my house, filled up a bunch of containers with water, and have enough peanut butter and jelly for a week or two ;)

This storm is a freaking monster as just about everyone in Florida will get a chance of hurricane force winds and it's expected to hit as a Category 5 with wind gusts over 190 mph. That's over 21 million people affected. The forecast track has been changing every few hours as it was supposed to go east of the East Coast two days ago, but now is expected to hit the Middle Keys and then go to the SW Coast where Naples and Fort Myers are before going north up the state. For where I live, they were saying we'd get 130 mph winds this morning, but has now gone down to 80-90 mph. A massive difference.

Things can change at anytime before it makes landfall very early Sunday morning. If any of you are also in Florida, please stay safe and I hope you took the proper precautions for what could be a devastating situation for millions.

Really hoping the storm calms down but from the looks of it that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Stay safe man!

You and me, man. We'll make it through this. As they say on Game Of Thrones, what do we say to Death? Not today!

So I'm now reading the hurricane has slowed and is gaining strength to become a category 5 again? Goodness.

I know the projected path of Jose has it only hitting a couple islands before heading back into the Atlantic again, but just tells you how unpredictable mother nature can be.

I forgot to update here since the storm was over as of yesterday morning. I fared just fine. My house somehow never lost power despite getting about 90-100 mph wind gusts. Many trees and power lines are down all over the area and 75% of Florida as a whole has no power.

Spoke to pen yesterday and unfortunately he still does not have any power at his place up near Orlando. However, he's ok. Just dying of boredom and dealing with having no a/c isn't exactly the most comfortable as you could expect when it's in the 90's and at 100% humidity. Hopefully he gets his power back very soon.

I'm currently at my workplace breakroom on my day off mooching off their AC and power. I even got a free meal out of it! Refusing to do overtime though. It is still my day off.

On the one hand, I caved in and did overtime since we only had one closer on staff tonight.

On the other hand...

I found several recent interviews with this woman on youtube but Ill post this one because its a bit longer. Seems very appropriate and topical with the recent iphone announcement. I really am interested in reading her book now. Seems to be a subject no one is talking about and no I dont have kids but I still find it very fascinating and troubling. When I see younger people with phones I cant be the only older person who thinks wow this kid doesnt know a world where people didnt have smartphones.

Recently I was reintroduced to a world where people didn't have lightbulbs. Why is this a concern?

She mentions why its a concern. She talks about how today's younger gen is growing up slower than previous gens and their adolescence into adulthood is being delayed. They are doing things like getting their drivers licenses, having sex, and working at later ages. Not in this interview but in another one she was asked if the gen shes talking about has trouble reading large books and yes that's what she has learned. It does kinda make sense that the gen that grew up with smartphones would have issues reading a 300 page book. Thats going to kill them when they get into hs and college and they cant do the work required. Its not my problem but I do have a cousin who lives near me who I think is 13 or 14 and her dad is kinda strict so I dont know whats exactly going on there pertaining to this issue. Again, we wont see the full effects from this until years from now.

Also, suicide of young teens has gone way up from what it was 10 years ago. Obviously because now they can be bullied 24-7 and to a wider audience and not just in school. She didnt mention anything about porn though and how its so much easier to get now for anyone of any age and the ramifications from that. Maybe its in the book Ill have to find out.

This woman should be more concerned that she looks like Clay Matthews.

I'm curious as to whether you've ever shared a picture of yourself?

Yeah not to back a dumb DD post but this board is pretty much a bunch of schmucks (some with winning personalities, some not so much) and also two handsome professional musicians. Mike I believe has compared himself to Superbad-era Jonah Hill. He's smart to keep his identity to himself, I remember getting roasted when my picture got on here (I kind of behaved in such a way that invited it, but then, so does Mike). When people have seen your face it inclines you to be more polite.

No I haven't. I'm not on social media and never posted a picture of myself on here.

I knew in 2017 that my mildly insensitive joke had the potential to cause an uproar and for that I personally apologize. I hope I didn't ruin your weekend.
