I wish you and Ruiner were dead instead of Matt Moseman.

Someone please get Aaron out of his basement:

myDownfall is my favorite project of his.  "Wake Up," "Deaf," and "Memo" are some sick songs.

    Nick Coyle, that's what happened.

After reading the interview, it sounds like Aaron knows that this isn't likely to go anywhere.  He just had written some songs and wanted to get them out to the world, which is pretty cool in my opinion.

I agree that his solo stuff is likely to not go past the local bar scene.  And to be honest, the song they posted with the interview is probably the worst one in that he can't match his vocals with the song.  If you listen to the other songs on his page (http://www.aaronfink.net/music), the vocals mesh much better with the music.

I do really enjoy what he's doing in Gentlemen East, although again it is unlikely to get popular(not knocking the band, this type of music just isn't very popular).

1:58-2:30 is great, Aaron really is a talented guitarist.  It's neat to seem him writing riffs that are so different than his riffs from Breaking Benjamin.

Not a fan of it unfortunately (not that you would care). I really enjoyed the darker stuff like "You Stupid Girl," "Hear Me Now," "Built for Sin," "Count Me In," and "The Fold."

Since the fools in the madness thread apparently haven't heard it yet (otherwise they wouldn't just be throwing their votes away), here's a reminder of what this album gave us:
In addition to just being one of the most bada** songs of all time, I love that it also is a knock against religion.
  11. jmg05005 received reputation from jmg05005_v2.0 in NEW Parkway Drive
This song is officially catchy as f*ck!  I've been listening to it all day and head-banging away.
  12. jmg05005 received reputation from jmg05005_v2.0 in NEW Parkway Drive
I'll agree that the lyrics seem to just be a mishmash of random, recycled rock cliches.  Which is a bit of a disappointment given that their last lead single("Dark Days") had pro-environment lyrics.  But the song itself is catchy enough, and I still have lots of hope for the album.  This is certainly just an attempt to bridge out onto active rock radio, but there's no way the whole cd will be such a huge departure to their past stuff.
  13. jmg05005 received reputation from jmg05005_v2.0 in Halestorm - Into The Wild Life
Just listened to "I Am The Fire" on your suggestion, and I thought it was great.  Those are the kinds of songs they need to be producing.  Instead we get junk like "Gonna Get Mine," "What Sober Couldn't Say," etc.

Dead Sara is the better band, in terms of musicianship(except for the drums) and lyrics.  Armstrong has a wider range, but Lzzy has a more powerful voice and sounds better live.  If Halestorm had better lyrics, I would probably like them better based off Lzzy's voice alone.  But they don't, so I've found myself liking Dead Sara much more.  It's just such a shame, because Halestorm started off so well with the One and Done EP, but then they sold out.

As I already mentioned, I'm extremely disappointed that Halestorm abandoned their pre-signing hard/classic rock roots in favor of the cock rock that is present on their 3 major-label records.

The path that I wish Halestorm would've taken is the one that Dead Sara has taken, as they've truly stuck to straight-up hard/classic rock.

That's why I probably won't listen to this one.  If their old fans enjoyed the cock-rock of the last two albums and then would also enjoy this one, then that means it's just more of the same.

Prior to their first release and even parts of the first album, was good old classic rock.  That's what they need to get back to.

Surprised no one here has noticed the similarities between the verses here:

The unwarranted harassment of Dragon in this thread by Andrew is pretty sad.
Also, it is hilarious that yet another Christian brand shows the true colors of Christianity by committing adultery and then sticking with the mistress. Organized religion is the biggest joke in the world. My dream is to start a "Christian" band and make millions of dollars off of those fools, and then reveal that all the hard-earned money they gave me I spent on satanist causes. Nothing could make me happier than to see the looks on their faces.

I'd say this is promising. Musically it was nice and heavy and the general theme of it was very good. He just stretched a bit with some of the rhymes, like using "grind the mice" to rhyme with "sacrifice."  "All The Right Reasons" was the last album of their's that I truly enjoyed the whole album, but all their albums since have at least had a few good songs on each one.

What did you do to her Andrew? She used to be happy and then it's like you locked her up in a room with Meg Myers for a year writing music and then Lady Gaga gave her a haircut.
