I "unliked" the Loudwire and Blabbermouth pages a long time ago on Facebook just because they mostly post junk, and I rarely ever saw any news on there that I didn't already know about, but mainly because of the comment sections on there were so terrible. I went on there a bit ago to see what was being said about all of this. If you want to see where the majority of the scum on the internet hangs out, it's right there on those pages. Just awful what some people posted in there about this whole thing. It's like a million Harty's having a conversation. Truly the armpit of rock/metal community.

Just to kind of echo the sentiment of everyone else, at a young age my musical tastes were like Kiss, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, etc. basically what my parent listened too. But when Hybrid Theory came out, it introduced me to the heavier stuff, and changed my whole outlook on rock and metal music. They were the doorway to that. And like we've all said, Chester was the Freddie Mercury, the Chris Cornell, the Kurt Cobain, the frontman of our childhood.
This hurts so much, and I can't help but hurt even more listening to their records right now and how much he told us about his mental state in all of his music. Just tragic.

Looks like Michael "Elvis" Baskette is producing too, which makes me very excited. He's done every single Alter Bridge record, except the first I believe.

I'm sure this will be a decent release to listen to, but can we talk for a minute about how terrible it is that Soil used the most generic/awful font for the cover of their new compilation disc? (Pictured in article below)
    http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/soil-to-release-scream-the-essentials-in-september/

I believe @Vigo once wrote an article on the old Tunelab site about local bands using that font.

Didn't even have to open the article to know that it was that damn Bleeding Cowboy font.

There is also a new song out there called Go To War, that is a lot better than Don't Stop IMO

Digging the shit out of this song

I don't hear any difference between these songs and the ones they were making before, unless doing the concept album thing has made it so they can never do a straightforward rock and roll album without backlash.

I just saw them on their small headline run they did this spring, and they did about 3 or 4 new ones....all of them were fantastic. One of them was called "Let 'Em Burn" I believe, super heavy.

    The hype is real.

I'm with Pen, I enjoyed both of these tunes. They're nowhere near some of their best work, but I like both of them.
And Nick, Corey Taylor may have "peaked" a while ago, but he is still a great songwriter.

It's definitely new music. I meant to post this earlier today but now's as good a time as any.

Here, Chorus.fm reports that Rise Against sent out a link through their mailing list.
    The link is this.
    http://www.riseagainst.com/protected-page?destination=node/3961&protected_page=6
Now, entering the password "wolves" provides the date 04/20, which is tomorrow, which is when folks believe all the details of the album will be announced.
    However, if you're impatient...
    https://forum.chorus.fm/threads/rise-against.4580/page-5#post-952595
Denizens of Chorus.fm deciphered all the coding already and the album title is Wolves, and the other sentences decipher to...
    (3:37) Wolves
    (3:13) House On Fire
    (3:48) The Violence
    (3:03) Welcome to the Breakdown
    (3:32) Far from Perfect
    (4:12) Bullshit
    (4:09) Politics Love
    (3:40) Parts Per Million
    (3:19) Morning Amerika
    (3:50) How Many Walls
    (3:40) Miracle
Is this the full tracklist? Dunno yet. Is this the right track order? Dunno yet. Take it for what you will.
Also, Amazon.de is suggesting a June 9th release date.
